Halloween Weekend at Remy’s: Margaret Murphy

Support SAAC and enjoy Craig Russo this weekend

Remy’s on Monroe is hosting a fundraiser to support the Springfield Area Arts Council on Friday, October 1. The event, to be held at Remy’s on Monroe, 225 East Monroe from 8:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. will feature Craig Russo and the Latin Jazz Project. The group’s newest CD, “Mambo Influenciado” was released this summer and has reached #16 on the U.S. JazzCharts. The Craig Russo Latin Jazz Project is a fresh mix of outstanding jazz soloists, rich Afro-Cuban inspired rhythms and unique arrangements of jazz standards. The group will also play  Saturday, October 2.

The Springfield Area Arts Council has been dedicated to developing and sustaining arts and culture initiatives in Springfield and surrounding communities since 1976. More than 60% of all income generated by the Arts Council returns to the community through events such as First Night, Artists on the Plaza, Uptown Friday Night as well as supporting performing artists in schools and providing artistic grants to organizations.
